I wanted to know if anyone has attempted to add these to their factory 88-89’ rubber ducts? I just found a SLP box and wanted to possibly modify mine to duplicate what they did to limit turbulence. It looks like all SLP did was rivet them in on the ends. I was also curious if the vanes went the entire length of the ducts as well. Any pictures of these ducts would be appreciated.

I have some at home. I used them for awhile then put the stock duct work back in. Not sure if it really ever made a difference either way. I'd think it may even disrupt flow a bit but I'm not a air flow guy.
It's just a short piece of curved metal with 4 tabs bent and rivited to the rubber. Maybe 4"? long???

If that’s the case I will not bother, I was curious how that directed air etc. As you mentioned before the box is what matters.

Thanks for uploading the pictures! Looks like the vanes run the length of each duct? So all someone would have to do is cut a piece of aluminum, get the correct bend, and rivet it on each end.

The divider just goes from rivet to rivet. Not the whole way through

Thanks for clarifying that, it really wouldn’t be much trouble to fabricate that I imagine.

i remember reading a bunch of tests someone like super chevy or someone like that did back in the day, and they flow tested them and found that in stock applications where the flow speed was lower, the vane actually interfered with flow. if you have a modified engine and the correct slp parts, that's where you would see a slight gain.

That goes with what TTop350 said, I wonder how that would work with my upcoming combo of TPIS big mouth intake, AS&M runners and ported/gasket matched plenum? At this point with the info I’ve heard here the stock ducting may be best with SLP box.
