Sub Frame Connectors

Hey All, I had spoken to a guy and he said that it would be worthwhile to use sub frame connectors to sturdy the frame? I have not decided how I will proceed with the car later, probably put a 350 in later, no racing just driver. If I use sub frame connectors, should I buy them or build them? If I build does anyone have plans to make the connectors? how would I go about it? How long do they need to be? where do they get connected? I would be welding the connectors in. thanks Paul

Re: Sub Frame Connectors

I know it gets old hearing this time and time again. But doing a search will give you lots of threads to read through about people that have built subframe connectors and also places that sell them. To narrow down your search, do a advanced search and do the search under thread titles. Thats how I have mine defaulted to.

Re: Sub Frame Connectors

Top Down Solutions sells them for under $200, powdercoated. They fit nice and snug(you may have to massage your undercarraige a little, depending on how beat up it is. Someone has already done the hard work for you- don't need to reinvent the wheel...

Re: Sub Frame Connectors

a nice build thread I like-https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/fabrication/524717-sub-frames-final-design.html....just depends on how indepth you want to go. I bought a setof alstons from Lonsal @ TDS and used some square tube stock for the perimeter and to tie it all together.
