Gauge type for '91 Camaro
I want to put some aftermarket gauges in my car. I've settled on Autometer Phantoms I think and am curious why type I need? They offer mechanical, semi-electric and electric. I want the transition to be as easy as possible. I'm using all the standards gauge types that came with the '91 Camaro RS which are the Speedo, Tach, Fuel, Oil P., Volt, and Temp.

Electric would be the best option, you're going to have to completely rewirie your whole factory dash. remember you're not just replacing gauges, you may have to replace indicator lamps depending on what you decide to do with your dash. I would suggest searching "custom dash" there are a lot of threads about it. some half custom, some full custom. heres a pic of mine, its been 8 months so far in fabbing the whole thing. I have well over $1k invested in the dash, its all hand made by me, there are no pre-fab parts other then a replacement dash bezel that I purchased. Feel free to stop by my thread for info there too, it should be within the page list or on the next page. I will be updating it soon.
