I bought a 1990 Formula Firebird 2 weeks ago, unfortunately the previous owners son crashed it & the Original Formula hood was replaced with a plain fire bird hood.

The owner threw in a T/A hood & front bumper, I would be willing to trade my T/A parts for a Formula Hood

what part of upstate ny are you? im in the stamford area and have a early functional trans am hood with a slight dent i'd be willing to trade. 82-84 t/a's came with those late year formula hoods but were actually functional instead of blocked off like 87-92 formulas. let me know if youre interested.

I'm located just outside Saratoga.

I have a late 80's/Early 90's TA hood with a small dent between the front vents & a dent just behind the headlight on the passenger side i believe. I also have a mint T/A front bumper

Where is the dent in your hood?

entire hood is mint and no rust, dent is on the cowl, small half dollar size right on edge where the veted insert is. should be a real simple fix but a friend gave me a cherry condition one so i had no reason to work on this one. should be a really easy fix with a little hammering and you wont be able to tell it was there. unlike other parts of the hood, you can get to this spot really easy to tap it out. if you have a cell phone i can send a picture. also is a white hood wit a hood bird on it :-)

interested in both if on the table. id like a spare bumper for my daily driver t/a god forbid the unfortunate happens. also complete functional power bulge hoods are hard to come by being on a limited number of 82-84s.

I'd like to get rid of them both. I have a formula, not a T/A. I thought about doing the T/A body kit, but i think i'd rather just keep it a formula.

I don't have a truck either, I have a Jeep & a snowmobile trailer, but the trailer isn't exactly registered and according to google your about an hr and a half away.


Hows this sound, I do the traveling, I give you the slightly dented T/A hood and the Mint T/A bumper, and you give me the Power Bulge Hood and $100 cash?

if i had cash to do that i might. how about i do the transportating to you of my hood, and ill even help you install the hood for your hood and bumper. also if your car needs anything i have many spare parts.

this way you dont have to do anything. you wont even have to go anywhere or load anything :-)

You wouldn't happen to have the air cleaner that goes with the functional scoop would you?

what engine do you have? only air intake i have to go with the air cleaner is a crossfire injection air cleaner. if you have a tbi engine, it would be simple to make the hole for the air cleaner to make it functional. if you have a tpi, nothing has been made to fully use that hood as an air induction hood. most people enjoy the hood for the heat extraction.

Ok. I have a 305 TBI so i can mod mine if i want 2 use the hood, you wouldn't happen to have a spare center console lid/arm rest would you? mine has a huge split in it

i know i had a few a while ago but i think i sold one. let me take a look around to see what i can find for you and report back.

out of three consoles i have. the third one still has a great condition lid. i do also have a few fold over map pockets instead of those cheasy side map pockets that came in most birds/formys. this one has the flap and velco. also have a few shifter panels in good shape, seat belts, door armrests, marker/turn signal assemblies, door panel bezels, a few sets of uncracked tail lights, under dash panels, and 2 or 3 sets of 85-90 bird/formy bumpers. also have a 91/92 bird/formy front and rear nose if you like the look of the 91 and 92 birds. anything else i can help with. feel free to ask. thanks.
