Rear Louver Hardware...
After a lot of searching for rear window louver hardware.. I ran across a man a few miles from me who has made me a set out of plastic..3D printer...He said once he gets them perfected.. He would offer them for sale without ZEUS springs or hardware... for $50.00 for a set...plus shipping.. Just feeling out the group to see if there is a market for them.. I know I played hell trying to find a set and was excited that he would take on the project....

Very nice BUT aftermarket Crager aluminum louvers of the era on my 87 IROC
Here are mine installed on My 82 Z28 after having them reconditioned and painted.
I have a set of original GM louvers and the center aluminum section is 37". The entire width of the louvers is 57". I found mine and rented a small van to pick them up. A mini van or small suv should be fine. Just know that these are actual GM louvers and not aftermarket louvers that were also plentiful in the 80's and were three piece. If they are originals I would suggest to not disassemble. They may never go back together and look as they should. PS....These are extremely rare and hard to come by if they are original GM.....Take extreme care!

Re: Rear Louver Hardware...
There is a part number stamped on the underside of the rear most louver, but that's not important. Just know that the original GM louvers have Dzueus fasteners that fasten them down. That and the lower profile as on my silver Z28 in the picture.. You can see the fasteners if you look closely at the picture. They fasten to brackets that are held on by double stick tape two places on the top that hinge, two on each side that clip around the edge of the window trim and two more at the bottom. The key is to get set with all of the brackets included. I recently found the set on my silver Z out here in SOCAL. Cost me $500 and another $350 to straighten and re-paint. But they are almost impossible to find. You can PM me if you need any more info.

Re: Rear Louver Hardware...
just a question, I've got Cragar louvers voor my firebird. That's the one that looks like the photos posted here, not like the 3-piece style.
Would this hardware fit those? If so, I'm certainly interested.

The 3D printed brackets are for the GM louvers, not the Craigars. My silver Z28 has those. My dark red IROC has the Craigsrs. Notice the Craigars sit higher, look at the aft most louvers on both. The Craigars have different attachment clips.

I never noticed the difference. Thanks for explaining this.

I'd be interested in a set of those brackets too.
I'd be even more interested if they were stainless steel sheet metal though just for the fear of the plastic breaking. I think if the shape and size is perfected, a CNC sheet metal brake would be a great solution.

There is a set on its way to me, I’m curious about them as well. I spoke with the guy who prints them, they are composed of PTEG plastic, which is very similar to abs. After a little research, it seems they should do just fine as louver brackets.

I see using the printed ones for the lower portion of the louvers but not the top where the hinges are. With the stress and forces on the little pop rivet holes that hold the spring wire on for the pzus fastener from wind hitting the top of the louvers as you drive. Its a high stress area up there and with the cost of oem louvers these days 300 to 500 bucks used I would feel much more at ease with metal brackets at the top.

The top bracket that the hinge bolts too was a little off in dimension, I worked with the guy to correct the design. He sent me an updated pair of the top brackets. They are perfect. I didn’t end up using the lower “adjustable” ones, I fabbed my own pretty easily. All in all the printed set from zack are WELL WORTH THE $$$
