2 Formula Hoods; 1 Functional Hood Assembly
*UPDATE* as of 6/25/09, I'm talking the hoods off the market. These really can't be sold without someone being able to examine them first. The damage hardly shows up in pictures, so I can't give anyone a good idea online about how they look. So it's kind of pointless trying to do this, so I'll be keeping them... or something.
And the intake assembly listed in this ad is SOLD. So this ad can be locked, Mods.
2 Formula Hoods: no longer for sale.
These each have sheet metal damage, but nothing that can't be repaired. There is no structural damage on either. The one pictured on the 'vert has an excellent paint finish and would look tolerable, despite it's damage, until you got around to having it re-worked. So if you've got a totalled hood, or if you've just wanted a Formula hood, these might be worth it for you. I'd just like to get them out of the way.
*SOLD 1 good functional intake assembly w/harness for an '82-'84 TA Power Bulge hood: $30 shipped. SOLD as of 6/25/09*
This should also work on TBI Formulas, too, if you have the air cleaner lid, which I don't have. This is the assembly that mounts in the hood. I'd think that's a fair price, as it will probably cost me that much just to deal with packing and shipping it.
The pic of the assembly is in post #15 in this thread:

Attached are pix of the hoods. In one pic, one is standing in storage. In the other pic, the hood is the one on the 'vert, which I removed when I sold the 'vert. So it's also standing in storage with the other hood.

Deal pending on the functional assembly.
Hoods are still available. $20 is simply to cover my time and efforts to deal with this, obviously. The only person who'll profit off of this will be one or two of you.

If you look closely at the middle pic, you can see a few waves in the sheet metal along the side edges of the hood. And across the back, particularly at the corners, you can see it there too. Other than that, just a few minor dings. And the paint shines like new, so it makes the hood look decent while it's on the car, awaiting its repairs and paint.
I pulled this off of a car in a junkyard a couple of years ago. The damage is typical of what you see people doing to hoods of cars in junkyards, yet very minor in comparison to most. So for a junkyard find, I considered it pretty good.
I hate passing up these hoods when I find them in junkyards, if they're repairable, because they aren't available anymore. This is one of those parts now and in the future that we'll have to have repaired if damaged because most of us won't have a spare around to replace a damaged one, and we probably won't be able to find a good one in a yard if we suddenly need one.
I was planning to save one for my own Formula's future, just in case, but they take up so much space in storage, that I need the space much more than I need the hoods, at this time.
Same for everything else I've been selling. It's all cheap, because the space is worth more than the parts I have sitting around.

Sorry, but what would it take to repair them? I'm in San Diego and might be interested in taking a trip up there to pick one up. I just don't know what I'll be getting myself into with it. If you could include more pictures so I can have a better idea what I'm dealing with, that would be helpful too.

Re: 2 Formula Hoods; 1 Functional Hood Assembly
The damage doesn't show up well in pics, so it will be too difficult for someone to make an assessment online. So I'm taking them off the market, and I'll be keeping them. But thanks for your interest.
And, Mods, the intake assembly has been sold, so this thread can be locked. Thanks everyone.
