What would you get?

I have a 91 Z-28 with a 305. I am look into a catback since it is physically imposible to do true duals on it with out losing any ground clearnce, and that is a major factor where I'm at. Would recomend the Borla Stainless Adjustable Cat back(529.99) Or the Hooker Cat back(259.99). I have heard the borla adjustable on one of my friends 4th gen and loved the sound, and the fact you can adjust the loudness of it. I haen't heard the Hooker but am told it sounds really good. What do you guys recomend.

Here you go, go to the sound clip in my signature. Oh, and you can get the Hooker $200 one, that's what I did and have it welded on. One question, the Borla is it adjustable to have open headers? that would be cool.

Go with the Aerochamber. $529 LOL, its not worth it dude, it sounds OK-good, but not incredible.

Quote for 529.99

The quote for 529.99 came right off of Jegs website. I think I am going to go with the hooker. Everyone seems to agree that is the best one to get.

Mark,

I just want to get this straight......I have a 91' RS, 305 TBI. Now that system (16822 @ $200) WILL WORK for my car? No wierd modifications or fabrications necessary right??

Then why is the other one that's supposed to be for my car (16820 @ $260) more expensive? What's the difference in the two that's worth $60?

Mark: The 200$ sys still uses a 3 inch I pipe right?

4U2C: If I had it all to do over again I'd get the Hooker catback. I went with 3 inch Flowmaster, but I don't really like the tips, everyone seems to have flows so the sound isn't unique, and it just overall isn't as great as I had hoped. There's also the MAC catback which those who have say is great. They say the sound is similar to flows but with a different tone. I plan on getting either full hooker exhaust or full edelbrock. Just my .02 cents.

LOL, if Flowmaster was a choice I would've said it but, the Borla does not impress me, especially for that price. I would hope you would recommend Flowmaster in the same situation.

To answer the other question first, yes they all are 3" from my knowledge.

The $200 system will work, the only thing is there will need to be slight modification, the I-Pipe end that connects to the cat has a square 4 bolt flange, I had to have that cut off and welded to the cat.

I am definatly going for the Hooker after Hearing Mark A. Shields sound clip. As soon as I get my tax return I am investing in headers, y-pipe and the Cat Back.
