Swain Technologies Ceramic Coating, anyone?

Has anyone here ever dealt with them or have real world experience with their work? They seem to be a big name on the racing circuit but the only real world info I could find is over on some corvette, Gen5 Camaro or Evo/tuner boards.

Re: Swain Technologies Ceramic Coating, anyone?

They coated the bearings in my 90 ZR-1 corvette and some other stuff but that was in 2001 and never had any problem and I've wound that lt5 to over 8 and it screams. I can't say anything bad about them. They were recommended to me by some of the ZR-1 guys and all of them have used swaintech for a long time so there doing something right. If I remember they did my piston tops and skirts. They have a dry film lubricant that works great in certain areas. It's a cheap insurance policy and peace of mind.

thanks for that! As you mentioned, the only place I've seen then mentioned has been with the 5th gen crowd, some corvette guys and the tuner pages. With as good as they supposedly are it makes me wonder why I had never heard of them, even in passing, anywhere here at all.

Re: Swain Technologies Ceramic Coating, anyone?

Swain used to be very popular in NASCAR circles, back when this technology was new. That's where I first heard of it, and then. Have no idea about their reputation now, but have not heard anything negative.
