I am having trouble finding a muffler, i found one but i can't find any videos of camaros or firebirds with it to tell what it sounds like.

What is making it hard for you to find a muffler?

Flowmaster is probably the most polarizing brand people seem to love or hate them. Personally I am in the hate group the sound and drone are killer. Although I have had good luck with installing a resonator or two to make them sound OK

Re: muffler decision

You can get a very similar sound with a small case magnaflow muffler. You'd have to weld it in before the axle the add a Y if you want duals or add it to stock location if single out is ok.

Or http://magnaflow.com/automotive-perf...tems/products/

I probably would not go with a 2.5 in and 2.5 out on a 5.7L if you care about performance. Pick a sound you like on you tube, find a 3" muffler like that, get it installed with new pipes and w/e you need to copy that.

Hooker aero chamber sounds great. Not sure if they fixed the de laminating issue, but check you tube for sound clips!
