BORLA. Magnaflow and Flowmaster sound good also. Summit even makes a great sounding one inlet- two outlet muffler to fit your car.

Re: Muffler choice
I have a American Thunder Flowmaster 3in cat back including the exit pipes and tips that uses the 80 series . I love it, but it vibrates the photos on the inside wall of the house next to the car port when I pull in.
I finally had to use some mounting tape to keep them straight.
I don't think it's too loud but the thumping pressure coming from it is pretty strong.
You might want to consider getting a 3in cat back as opposed to just a muffler.
The larger pipe produces a better exhaust flow. It also creates a deeper tone.
At least mine is that way. I've heard Third Gen Camaros with stock 5.0s running just the muffler and there is a tone difference, especially with the 3in. exit pipes and tips I have.

Re: Muffler choice
I agree with Ron, as that's the setup I have. But don't forget to ask your spouse; that preference counts, too.

Re: Muffler choice
I put in just the flowmaster 80 series muffler over a month ago and no complaints here. Sounds very nice on medium throttle and pretty loud under WOT and also crackles when i let off. Definitely worth the price in my opinion

Re: Muffler choice
It really depends on what you like -quality tone, loud agressive?
Magaflow sound great, but are really mellow when anything less than half throttle. I have had a 40 series flowM and it sounded really agressive, total hot rod sound, turned heads. The Magna has a quality tone that I get complements on. The spintech, just sounds mean. and if you have a real motor in front of the spintech, the sound is really NASCAR,NHRA action.
For HP, & exhaust flow performance you can't beat the magnaflow race mufflers. and quiet off the throttle.

Re: Muffler choice
Hooker aerochambers sound great but iv not had good luck with build quality so be aware. Had a dynomax ultra flo before the hooker and it sounded great but was very quiet at idle and part throttle but screamed at wide open throttle.

Re: Muffler choice
This is a picture of the two spintechs I have the bigger one came with my Mufflex 3.5 inch exhaust kit and it was good but I found out it is the more street version I think 6000 or something so I called up spintech and ordered up the sportsman series and it is mean sounding. At wot it sounds like no other exhaust on a Chevy motor.
