3 inch ball flange?

I have a 3 inch catback with a ball/socket style flange, the test pipe that my y-pipe came with is only 2.5. I cant seem to find a 3 inch ball flange to weld on to the test pipe to mate these two. Midas or one of those told me I probably won't find one. Id rather not cut the end of my catback off and put a 2.5 on that.
My only other option is to cut the ends of both and get a 3 > 2.5 reducer to put in there.
Any ideas?

Magnaflow 10745 Stainless

or

Flowmaster 15930 Aluminized Steel

What I did for a friends exhaust was weld on 2 3" flat flanges
