Help! Ive read literally every thread about this subject and have read every possible answer - yes, no, maybe. Ive got the hooker 2046's on my kitchen table and the dougs 901 y pipe in my shopping cart on summit.

Before I buy, Im looking for a for sure answer that the dougs y pipe will bolt to the hooker headers, and that all that majorly needs to be changed is that I have to swap out the pipe size at the Y to go from 2.5 in to a 3in.

So whats the advantage again?

I have a new hooker y pipe that I'm about to have a shop take off and go with a custom 3 inch pipe. Its stupid to me that they have a 3 inch collector neck down to a 2.5 then go back to a 3. It makes no sense. I can't believe nobody has made a 3 inch y-pipe for these headers.

May be a little late on this, but if you're looking for another confirmation, yes it works. I was hesitant to buy on a single persons experience too. Who was that again......oh yeah, thanks Robert.

The only real advantage to the D901 as opposed to the hooker pipe is the price. $175 for the D901 and $265 for the hooker. Both pipes need the 2.5 outlet cutoff and a 3 inch welded on. Very simple and you're welcome Joe lol.

Is fitment the issue on the 3 inch y pipes? You never see them. I dont understand why they use a 3 inch collector only to restrict it to a 2.5 y pipe.
