Hooker exhaust

Looking to use this to replace my current exhaust. Actually, this is what is currently on it, installed by a previous owner. I'm replacing due to rust and external damage. I have a 87 IROC 5.7 but you will notice it says for 5.0 only. When I look it up on the Holley site, it states that it is for the 305 HO but fits engine code G, F, and 8. Of course, mine is an 8. My current exhaust doesn't seem to have any issues with this engine. Any thoughts on this?

Probably some kind of emissions crap.

Theres no reason it wont fit the car or the engine.

Re: Hooker exhaust

Okay at idle I guess, its hard to judge a cars sound at idle alone.

BTW your car looks nearly identical to my GTA when it was debadged.

They do that because the flange on the cat is different for some cars. Don't worry about it, it'll work.

Sounds like a nice tone. I picked up a hooker cat back as well for my new engine. Can't wait to hear it!
