"Turbo Tubes"
My friend has pair of turbo tubes on his Mustang, and well it sounds awesome, haha. We found a site that still makes the "turbo tubes" or something just like them.
I was thinking about ordering a set of them and instead of having a stock muffler on the end of the exhaust, instead of spending the money to get the car to be a true duals, I could just get a y-pipe to split off the single exhaust and then with a pipe extension from that go to the other side of the car so that I can have dual exhaust with turbo tubes as mufflers.
What do you guys think? Would it be worth it with a V6 with exhaust manifolds and a catalytic converter?
The turbo tubes just sound amazing!

Re: "Turbo Tubes"
v6's dont sound as good as a v8s, but i dont mind certain systems on 6 cyl...but remember it wont sound the same. if you feel spending the money on your car do it.
great line i heard "to each their own"

Re: "Turbo Tubes"
they are glasspacks with no glass.. i made the mistake of putting a pair on my old truck, they sounded terrible and flowed worse than the stock muffler. I even knocked out the center plug. (Mine were NOS from the 70's)
If you can't get a proper crossflow muffler i'd just leave it alone. I will say that the Hooker crossflow sounds pretty good on a stock 60v6. Much better on a built one though.

Before I was thinking about getting a flowmaster 40 or 44 series muffler, what do you guys think about those?

Re: "Turbo Tubes"
ANd honestly, I've heard some beastly V6 exhausts in my search for a good muffler.

Re: "Turbo Tubes"
a lot of the V6 rasp comes from the exhaust manifolds, the FWD guys have it even worse. Headers really help, the longer the better.
