Re: anybody use the sigle chamber flowmaters (duels)

I haven't seen them on a true dual setup, but I have a few friends that have run a shorty exhaust off the y pipe with a single chamber flowmaster and dumped it before the rear to save some weight. I have seen / heard this setup on a stock 305 TBI, and lightly modded LT1 / LS1 cars as well.

Re: anybody use the sigle chamber flowmaters (duels)

i got a shorty header with crossover to the back into 1 flowmaster with dual outlet so it looks like the factory dual set up and it sounds great i to wanted true dual or sidepipes but both were hard to run on third gens one way is to run both your pipes down thepass side over the axle in to the mufflers or the other is to go beside the trans with the drivers side pipe but then you may need to remove it if you need to change the trans so i went the way i did side pipes are low to the ground and drag a lot let me know how your research goes skeeter

Re: anybody use the sigle chamber flowmaters (duels)

i run a true dual set up on my 355 sbc carb set up, most ppl with this set up have bad ground clearance problems and scrap just about on every road.

i just re did mines and tucked them up a bit with a bullet type muffler.

sounds good with the big cam, and loud!

ya i like the sound the single chamber makes with a hot eng
12 .1 +cr 420 + cid 500+ HP they do sound good

my car sits stock hight, so should have no prob with scraping, after all, it's just a sunnyday driver.

Re: anybody use the sigle chamber flowmaters (duels)

My car is stock height too. And with regular mufflers I had pretty bad ground clearance. But with a bullet type muffler now I have great clearance!
