I was just curious will my 87 iroc 305 manifolds fit my 98 vortec heads i got..cause nobody wants to put my y pipe on since my motor is not in and figured if the manifolds fit ill just put them...only problem is the dip stick does not fit cause on this motor its on the driver side any help would be great thanks.

nope...mine dont fit my vortecs im in process of trying to figure out which headers im getting right now to get car back on road again

really dam man ha ha that sucks...good thing i didnt sell the set of headers i got awhile back...im going to have to run open headers since nobody wants to do my y pipe for me.

I dont understand why manifolds wouldnt fit with vortec heads... I have 350TPI manfoldwith a stock 3" y-pipe and if I put those on my vortec heads they'd fit no issues... I'm runing edelbrock headers on my car only because its emmions exempt in CT.... Oh, and i'm selling those manifolds and y-pipe if anyones interested..lol

lol awesome motor man!! and i have not tried it yet but i guess it defeats the purpose of putting vortecs if ur running the stock manifolds huh lol...also what color did u use on ur motor?

Thanks, The color is duplicolor's "Cast Iron Coat" I like the more "natural" look..lol

stock manifold bolt hole on cyclinder 8 is father back..and the vortecs use the closer bolt hole which the manifold does not have due to where it goes down at...its possible to find a stock manifold from another car that might fit but mine did not...but thats ok who wants to run stock manifolds with vortec heads anyhow...i was just ganna do it till i was able to afford the headers
