Dynamax or SLP Bullet Muffler?

Replacing my old flowmaster...gave up the ghost after 15 years and I need a new 3" muffer for my IROC.

Looking at some deals on a Dynamax bullet and SLP loudmouth (original) bullet style muffler.

Is one better than the other in terms of flow?

I figure the Dynamax would be a bit louder...

Thanks

Re: Dynamax or SLP Bullet Muffler?

I would take the SLP over the Dynamax.......

I think you would be happier with the flow and sound.

have you thought of a chambered exhaust - you can get them with a 3 inch internal and 3 1/2 external and up to 26 inches internal - 31 inches external. very reasonable and sound great - a little loud but not tinny. put it in as your mid pipe and take out the muffler and run it as duals out the back.

I had a Dynamax and it rotted in less than four years.

Re: Dynamax or SLP Bullet Muffler?

I would go with the SLP. Do i need a welder to do just a muffler on my camaro do you think? Its the stock exhaust, I just wanna flowmaster just to give it a rumble

You might want to crawl under and check out the condition of the exaust from the cat back. Yours is 26 years old, mine rotted out in like 8 years. Might save you some suprises when you go to do it.

Re: Dynamax or SLP Bullet Muffler?

I think the dynamax sounds better than the loudmouth imo

Re: Dynamax or SLP Bullet Muffler?

the loudmouth is horrid if you have any kind of power.
it has no tone at all.
its just nasty.
a dynomax bullet, or a magnaflow style bullet is a lil more quiet.
