3" Y-PIPE FOR HOK-2460

okay, i know this has probably been discussed b-4, but does anyone know where 2 buy a 3" y-pipe 4 2460's? i'm pretty close 2 having my car fully assembled finally. i'm just lacking exhaust, about 14 hours of sanding, and paint. i just purchased new 2460's and installed them,so i'm not going 2 change them.the reason i bought them was because they were what was already on the car when i got it they were just rusted and comp. trashed. i thought i was just going 2 swap the new with the old WRONG! turns out drivers side is welded directly 2 y-pipe(2 1/2") and pass.side isn't even a hooker.yeah, big freakin' mess.the car has a flowmaster but has a very hideous y-pipe that ends behind the trans. it almost looks like a cat back with the drivers side coming down, under the frame rail literally! then goes back behind the trans., then cobbed into the intermediate pipe a few inches before it goes over the axle tube.don't have any pics right now,but just wondering if anyone else is thinking what i am. drag it 2 the exhaust shop, and have everything re-done correctly. any insight on a 3" y-pipe would def.be helpful thanks, timmy

The y pipe from Hooker that is for the 2460's is a 2.5" out. It's expensive (200 bucks).

Yeah, I actually just sucked it up and purchased the y-pipe for my 2460's because my headers aren't even installed and figured it would be more than $232 (Jegs) to install headers, fabricate 3" y-pipe, and remove a.i.r./smog pump... I have a Flowmaster on now (previous owner) its 3" catback, so I plan to get a better flowing muffler and possibly a cut-out...
but if you do find a place and price, I'd also like some info...

I bought the ypipe, cut off the 2.5" elbow at the end of it and had a 3" elbow welded on. Worked out really nice.

I had one fabbed b4 but this time around I grabbed the Hooker part and I'm glad I did! As of right now it is crammed under there but it needs to be shortened about 1" so that my Hooker cat back will sit next the the drive shaft where it should...

Re: 3" Y-PIPE FOR HOK-2460

so,I finally sucked it up and bought the y-pipe.I got it from year one, took a couple of weeks to recieve it because its not a part they normally have in stock. It was no problem for me,my car was still in pieces at the time anyway. They saved me some money anyway.Through Summit the total was going to be close to $250.from them total was$197.So with the savings,I happened to find a local vendor that jet-hot coated my 2460's for$100. don't have any pics now, parts are all still in the boxes, and just laid a nice black paint job on my car last Sunday. Now I have to find the time to reassemble everything.
