big block header problems
Well i got the passenger side header in, but now im having problems getting the motor to tilt or rise high enough to get the driver side in there. How did everyone else with big blocks put headers in. Thank you Mike

They are needed to be installed before the engine drops in the bay and have them tied back again the inner fender wells (I know its a 2-3 man process and more fo a beat on install then a bolt on)

Well i tried to put in the driver side header today, i raised the motor and the header still didnt want to fit right. It looks like i have to cut the pinch weld where the header bends to go under the rocker. Does everyone have the much trouble.

To what I've read regarding the swap headers , they are a pain in the **** to install. I can't believe I haven't even gotten that far with my project which started in Feb. '06 It has taken to long but it's coming.

hey guys , how are you doing with those hooker headers ? i still have my 454 sitting in the shed. it came with some long-tube truck headers. if those hookers fit THAT bad, i might as well take my chances with the truck headers.
does anyone have any PICTURES of their install ?????? thx

how much work is it to actually get these things in? are you talking about cutting and banging in metal or just a few minor mods to get them to fit?

If you have the instructions for them you do have to grind the pinch weld on the drivers side for clearance. When I put mine in the passenger side to about 10 times as long to install and the drivers side went in pretty easy.
