will this exhaust fit in my GTA

If I get the Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust system for 1989-92 Z28/IROC w/ factory dual cat conveters and 3' inlet/dual 3" outlet system. Will this system fit in my 92 GTA. I want to get the american thunder system and this is the only one that i found close to my car. And is 392 dollars a lot to pay for this system??

Thanx,
Raul

Do you have dual cats? If you have a hardtop 5.7L car in '92, the you probably do. Check your RPO codes for the G92 option. Wait a minute, that's the code for 3.23 gears I think. Dual cats is definitely N10. However those two options were usually grouped together.

Yes, $392 is a high price for that system. Check Jeg's/Summit using a part number search. I good cat-back system shouldn't cost you more than $350.

While you are checking RPO codes, do you have a genuine Y84 code 1992 GTA? I do.

I got those 2 codes. I couldn't find the Y84 code, but when i was lookin at it today i saw it. I was getting worried, that it wasnt a real GTA. I feel good now. And thanx a lot, ill look in summits to see if they gotta it for a cheaper price.

I didn't even know that Flowmaster made a dual-cat cat-back system with full 3" tips. Their online PDF catlog does not even mention it. I'm curious, do you have a part number?

A cat-back for a single cat can always be modified to fit a dual-cat though. You would just need to shorten the intermediate pipe.

If you are looking for good dual cat systems check out Random Technology or SLP. Thunder Racing sells both.
