Quiet...er bullet style muffelers?

Quiet...er bullet style mufflers?
What are the quietest bullet style muffelers?

i dont think "quiet" and "bullet mufflers" belong in the same sentence. its practically impossible to get a straight thru muffler to be quiet at all. i wouldnt think the sound differnce between any two would be enough to notice.

I know they will all be loud, but I was hoping if perhaps there was one quieter than another.

I am quite surprised at mine. At idle, they have a pounding effect, but not really loud. At WOT, they almost sound like a muffled glasspack, but not real crackly. I am real happy with them. The best way I can decribe it, and no one on here has heard this, but I had a 69 LeMans with cherry bomb header mufflers. The exited on each side in front of the rear tire. The Bullets I have sound about like that.

I like those valve covers you have. Are they the summit ones or granetelli?
How do you like them, lots of clearance I'd imagine, any leaks?

I bought these off a guy on eBay. I don't know where he got them from. He said he had a little leak with them, but used a cork gasket and lots of silicone, and it was fixed. I just used the neoprene gaskets, and siliconed them to the valvecovers and all is good. The breathers are awesome! The driverside has a built in PVC valve that is held in with a big c-clip, so you can replace it when needed. I love these. Any heads I get in the future need to have centerbolt provisions.

bullet or straight throught type mufflers are used on almost any aftermarket import exhuast
I plan on getting myself a set soon
only way to make them quiter is go with a smaller diam pipe or a longer muffler for the most part
