IROC from Åland
Hi all,
Just wanted to drop in and say hi, I got this 89 IROC Convertible last year from a seller in Sweden, paid about 9000 USD so I'm very happy with that. No rust or issues, except that original 305 is replaced with a -93 LT1 from a Corvette. A lot more "ompf", and runs like a charm.
I'm in the process of replacing every tired and worn item on the car, want to look as original mint as possible. So far I've replaced all front lights and seat covers, next up is the floor mat and reinstating the original radio if I can find one some day...

Nice, those must be pretty rare over there. You should do a big smoky burnout for the authentic American experience.

Yes there are not many, and boy do I like to cruise around during the summer times! On the last picture we are out cruising with the local "Oldtime Cruisers club", they have this yearly event when hundreds of cars join in. People were shouting "Burn out!", so said and done, you all wanna see some smoke?? I pulled a onehelluva smokey on the road, but the joy was shortlived as the local constabulary saw me and pulled me over like 20 seconds later.... "You were risking the lives of everyone in the public, here is your 645 Euro fine!" Thats about 750 USD... Anyhow will be a bit more careful next year, not with the foot, but keeping a better lookout for the boys in blue!
