Honest thoughts on my 383 swap?
Anyone's personal thoughts about how my motor looks?
This photo was taken about 2 weeks ago, since then I swapped a better carb on it, broke the cam in, and got it running, and ran it around for a bit. I'm just currently waiting for the muffler shop to open up so I can get a Y pipe lol.

Heads are dart 64 cc aluminum SHPs. 200cc intake 2.02 intake and 1.6 exhaust I thinkIntake is a victor jr and the carb was a holley vacuum secondary 750 but its been swapped for a proform 750 double pumper
Regular bog standard HEI with accel ceramic wiresAnd headers are hooker 1 5/8 longtubesCompression ratio is right at 10.6 and it runs on 93 easily And the valve covers were just cool thing I always wanted to own lol

Oh yeah, she's real fun, runs like nothing I've ever been in,=. I've put 1100 miles on it so far and no issues. Sadly thanks to where I live there are no dynos around me. But I did run it down the 1/8th mile before and after. Before 10.25@67mph. After 8.39@87mph. Not bad for a 3400 pound car with a stock converter and 2.77 gears

Looks good I like it 👍. Get some gears+ T/C in it and I bet it will take off like a rocket! Probably break into the high7s

Is your car an Iroc or Z28 - neither? What fuel delivery did have before this swap?

The Engine looks great!
I would strongly consider changing the Intake-Manifold to the Edelbrock Performer-RPM Air-Gap instead...
Unless you are making peak HP at 7,000 RPM or higher.

I was thinking about it, but I had a victor jr laying around, and it pulls hard up to 6500 and coul go more if the cam didn't run out. Plus I'm really happy with the victor jr's performance so far

I like the fact that you have aluminum heads on your new engine. Anytime that you can get weight off of the front end of the car, you are moving in the right direction.
