Harmonic Balancer Help

Hey guys. Just a quick question. I'm building a Small Journal 327 with aluminum heads and so on. I'm going to try and use the factory brackets for all accessories and the like if possible. Now my question is I'm trying to figure out what size Harmonic Balancer to use. If I'm not mistaken the factory size is 6.5 inches diameter? What Balancer are you guys using and also what timing pointer? I was really hoping not to spend $200+ if I can help it. Thanks for all the Help I appreciate it.

Re: Harmonic Balancer Help

professional product power force 6.75". With just a pointer , not a timing tab as the damper has the timing marks on it. Price is under $75

I used the same one for the last 15 years on a 62 327 then on the current 350. Both engines are 7,000 rpm engines

Is the crank tapped for a damper bolt?

That's good. Not all of the early small journal engines were.
