91 305TBI convert to TPI
I'm sure there are many threads that talk about this, but my question is specifically for my 91 Formula. I want to convert my 305 from the TBI and go TPI. I know I need the intake components, sensors, wiring, ecm, fuel stuff.
I thought I read somewhere that 91-92 are the only years that require some other kind of tweak and that it's not just a plug and play situation. I think it had something to do with the ecm?

Plus you must replace your intank low pressure pump with the Tuned Port high pressure unit!

90-92 TBI AND TPI utilize the same dash harness. I have modded quite a few.
You need:
TPI donor
TPI engine bay harness
730 ecu
TPI high pressure pump
While you are gathering parts for your swap you should consider all mods you plan on doing, do them all at one time to have a proper chip burned since Speed Density is quite picky on certain mods. You will have a new found love for your car once you swap that TBI set up OUTTATHERE!!!!!! No disrespect to anyone that has had success modding TBI but TPI is way better
