305 to 305?
Im looking to swap a 92 TBI motor into a 92 z28 that has a blown 305 TPI in it. Will it just be plug and play, or will anything not match up.. It seems like it would be pretty simple.

Are you going to use the TPI intake off the 305 ?
if so is P n P
If you plan to use the TBI then lots more work

No, see the TPI engine is bad, i have a 305 TBI engine. Both complete engines, ( i basically have a free engine, thats why I'd swap it in) I'm just wondering if since the car had the TPI in it, will i need to swap anything else over or just the wiring harness/ computer?

If your not just putting the TPI unit on the TBI engine then everything will have to change. Wiring harness, ecm, ect, They're 2 completely different systems. If I'm not mistaken you'll have to either put an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on the TBI or change to a TBI fuel pump... The TPI runs more fuel pressure. I'm not understanding why you dnt just put the TPI unit on the good engine? Has it been taken off the car?

You'd be better off putting the TPI intake onti the TBI motor; ALOT easier that way, and mot as bad of a downgrade. The motor itself is bad enough, but downgrading the induction system besides would be brutal.
Strip the TBI motor down to nothing but block, heads, oil pan, valve covers, and maybe water pump; then put everything else from the TPI one back on instead.
Use ALL OF the TPI exhaust system. Not one piece of the TBI's.
