a deep RamJet question
Shot in the dark, but...
If I wanted to keep as much emissions equipment as possible, what would work?
[Disclaimer: Now, if you're about to reply anything about "why I would want to do that", or that I shouldn't, stop now and go on to another post. Hopefully that doesn't come across as too rude, but I won't get any information from a reply like that, and this one is gonna be hard enough to get enough the information I'm looking for. So anyway:]
What I mean is, if I keep the AIR pump, tubing, and cat, would it work at all, or does it need to work in conjunction with the EGR, etc.?
What if I used a reprogrammed SD computer? Or would that not work either since there's no EGR valve to control?
Or if you'd rather come at it from this angle: what's the most emissions equipment I can keep on the car and functional?

You should be able to keep the AIR pump etc intack. There is no facility for an EGR valve (though I am sure someone might be able to fashion one ala Corvette type).
You should be able to use the SD ECM, though you will have to "splice" into the wiring harness for the connectors on the RamJet. But you will have to disable the EGR in the eprom if you do not install an EGR.

Yeah, i don't understand why GM just didnt take the extra trouble to put an EGR port on this manifold (and a small "delete" cover for it like they do on ZZ4 manifolds) and including an O2 sensor provision... it would have made this engine a nice bolt in for any car... (i think they would look good in a 91 up Caprice too) Anyway, maybe a plate could be put between the manifold and TB with a port for an EGR.
