Figured I'd share some SBC **** with you guys. It's a HSR'd, Paxtonized, all forged 383. Can't wait to fire it up and get it tuned.

Good Luck

HP should be in the "enough" range until it gets tuned,, then the shot goes on just to make sure there is extra "enough"... lol

- Take your 305 out, and throw it in the garbage.
- Buy a 350 block, have it bored .030 over, and build a 383.
It is impossible to build a 383 out of a 305, the 305's bore is way too small.

Confuzed,, that thing on the driver side is an older Paxton SN-89 ball type centrifugal supercharger, only capable of boosting at 9psi right now. I want a bigger one, (don't we all) but the funds just arent' there yet. Maybe next year?
OT- looks like we have a couple things in common,, I'm currently an ETC(SW/AW) with 18 years in, so getting close to being like you and retired.
Also, the GO PACK GO,, my hometown is Kenosha WI, and am a huge Pack fan.. Cool.

That's gonna be one strong motor you have there...I predict you'll need some suspension upgrades next in order to get all that power to the ground!! Looks awesome.

I already have the Spohn Torque arm and LCA's, and a BMR Panhard bar. I still need shocks,, the list never ends.
OT-And I'll try to look you up. Do you go to Union Grove at all? I used to go to that track all the time growing up.

Only reason I know first hand about the suspension issues, is because I have a simular dilemma. No way to get a good launch w/o spinning.
I'm looking into a 9" to install this winter, along with a torque arm. Right now I still have the 3.73:1 one-legger. I just dropped this engine in about a month or so ago....

That looks nice!! And you kept the AC, which is nice too. I wanted mine gone, so I deleted it. Dammm, a 3.73 and a peg leg?? I'll bet you're spinning all over the county. lol. I've got the POS 2.77 with a posi, but I have 3.27 gears and a carrier sitting in the closet. We'll see how it does with the new gears sometime hopefully soon. Having a series 3 carrier really helps my gear selection.
