swapping a 305 from an 84 monte carlo ss
the question i have is if the bell housing on my t-10 4sp is going to bolt up to his engine. It was either a 200r4 or a 700r4 that was bolted up to the engine. It's a 305.
Need answers asap, starting swap this weekend if its going to work.
thanks guys

carb and intake Q's
okay, i'm swapping an l69 out of a monte carlo into my car, an 82 z28. First off, will the stock computer controlled q-jet work if i go no emmisions. Second if it won't, can i bolt up a different q-jet, one thats not computer controlled to the stock manifold or do i have to change it as well.
I need help asap, any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks a bunch guys.

Hmmm, nobody responded to your last question.
The stock q-jet will work, but you need to retain the sensors that supply information to the computer. That means stock computer-controlled q-jet, stock CC distributor, temp sensor, manifold pressure sensor, barometric pressure sensor, oxygen sensor.
A non-CC q-jet will fit on your stock manifold. You'll need a vacuum/mechanical advance distributor as well.
If you're putting a 4-speed behind an engine that used to have an automatic, be sure you put a pilot bearing in the crank.
