WTB: Proportioning valve

Hi guys, I am in the need of a proportioning valve for my 92 with rear PBR disks. Broadcast Code MC or MD referring to the parts catalog. GM #10164112. Should be in good condition, shipped to germany, paypal ready.

If you have the internal parts from a disc valve, they'll swap into a drum valve easily enough. Finding the exact valve might be a pain. You could check with Flynbye.

I know they are hard to come by these days... I have drum brakes in my 92 and have a complete rear end from a 92 GTA with PBR brakes. I also have a prop valve for disk/disk cars, but it has the casting code "NB". According to the parts catalog this is from a 86-88 disk/disk car. The threads of don't match with my MC. And I've read in an older thread, that the older cast iron calipers have bigger pistons than the later PBR and because of that the pressure applied to them is different between them. I don't know what to do... keep the disk/drum valve? Install NB valve? Problem here in germany is the technical inspection every two years, the brake system has to be absolutely functional in every way to pass the tests... I would feel most comfort with the correct valve with the correct springs in it for the PBR calipers and the correct threads for my MC.

If I had a dollar for every car with rear discs and a drum prop valve... Plenty of people don't even know they're different. A bunch that do, just change the spring in the front portion of the valve.

There's a thread about the prop valve guts from not all that long ago with measurements and photos. I'd probably stick with the drum valve over trying to use any parts from a disc valve from before 89.
