Tpi Vortec baseplate

Re: Tpi Vortec baseplate
Thanks. I been keeping up with the site to buy new. Just haven’t made up my mind to spend that much or buy more parts for my ls1 build. Would like to have some nice power while I’m building my motor but not too pressed on it. How do you like it? Any other mods on your motor? Mine is all stock would like some feedback on the power gain from the tpi

Thanks for that. This past Saturday I said let me go on the site, with intentions of making a purchase the site said currently out of stock. Guess I will give them a call and see if I can make a quick purchase that way before they are all gone. Thanks for the heads up.

Re: Tpi Vortec baseplate
I just checked myself...the tech I spoke to the other day said they were looking to have more made...but I'm not sure he actually knew that, because he didn't tell me they were out, just low stock.
Looks like I may have lucked up, and gotten one of the last ones.

Spoke with Chris at Scoggin Dickey today and he sais they are 30 days out still. According to him they are waiting on production, not shipment. So the part has not been made yet. So instead of just waiting on the boat to get here from wherever it came from they are actually waiting on someone to make the part.... Might be a bit longer still. I'm looking for one of these as well.

Re: Tpi Vortec baseplate
Yea I called them yesterday and got the same info, as I’ve been calling every other week for over a month now. I ended up pulling the trigger on a Edelbrock version today as I want to have this setup running in a few weeks. I will continue to call Scoggin-Dickey to keep the amount of calls about this product high as there are a lot of people who still want these. Fingers crossed on them getting made sooner than later.

Where did you find the Edelbrock one at? Only difference is you can't use factory runners on that right?

Re: Tpi Vortec baseplate
One guy here has been trying to sell it for months but price was high is my thoughts on it not selling. I paid 475 for it but it’s also ported. I tried doing research on stocks fitting and have got mixed reviews on that, some say they fit but we will see as I don’t have aftermarket runners and not buying them. I’m building a ls1 and would like to take my time, but also want to have a little more fun with the tpi over stock truck intake. Was gonna wait for Scoggin as I really don’t need the tpi but started getting worried that it would be a lot longer than they said. I’ve been searching for other alternatives for weeks and there’s nothing else out there at the moment.

Re: Tpi Vortec baseplate
Appreciate it, but yeah that is way too high, and then possibly add in runners. Would go LS or just do a L05 before spending that to make vortechs work. Posted on SDs facebook page, and they said they are hoping it will be about 2 weeks.

Re: Tpi Vortec baseplate
I heard 30 days, two weeks, and in stock all in the same day. Regardless they seem to be in stock if anyone needs one. I'm going to go ahead and pick one up just to make sure they don't run out again lol.

All the runners interchange with the manifolds.
Only ones that don't are for the F.I.R.S.T. intake setup.
