Looking for 9 bolt rear.

I am looking for a 9 bolt preferably with 3.45 gears and set up with disc brakes (PBR's) - I suppose a good one should go for 300 or so. Tag has to be on diff. 254-681-2930 Rob

I've got one - matter of fact,... I've got 2, but i'd NEVER let them go @ $300. ( cost me over $300 JUST for a carrier ! ) Remember; Your asking for the strongest factoiry rear end, with the best factory gearing, & best factory Braking system ever offered in a ThirdGen, and it was only offered that way for 1 year. You might need to set your sights a bit lower or expect to pay a bit more...... If you can find another one.

I have one with 3.31 gear's
Because I've just got to know,... Where did that rear end / gears come from ??

I have one as well. Its a good rear I agree with John but the Dana 44 was the best rear you could get for a thirdgen....but they only came in the Firehawks and were used to replace bad rears that were still under warrenty

Re: Looking for 9 bolt rear.

The 9 Bolt rear is only slighty better than a ten bolt and parts, like a posi that isn't shot are hard to get. I would buy a junk yard Ford Nine inch and invest in some axles and brackets and a trutrac.

Not to be rude, but I have been doing this for a long time and I am not seeking advise on this subject. For a street car, the original 9 bolt will do fine. Especially on a build that is about originality. And for the record, parts are not that hard to find. There are numerous pages on this board that list those parts and who sells them.

Thanks.
