Re: GM {Astro} Steering Shaft Upgrade
Sorry i have not updated this in awhile. The demand has been larger then the supply lately. I think i have replied to everyone that contacted me about a shaft. If i missed anyone i apologize, please contact me and i will see what i can do to help you out.
I believe i currently have 1 solid and 2 with the rubber isolator not spoken for.

Eliminates almost all the slop in the steering rag joint. I did this mod myself about three months ago and it was well worth it. Drives like a modern car almost.

Re: GM {Astro} Steering Shaft Upgrade
Even though you only have 50k miles its still a 25 year old piece of cloth and rubber not to mention the poor design of the stock shaft. I am not making any promises, just talking from personal experience. My 87 Monte had 52k on it and when i originally switched to a Jeep shaft it was night and day. These GM shafts are even nicer.

Re: GM {Astro} Steering Shaft Upgrade
I bought one of these shafts last year for my 32k GTA and swapped it last spring the only difference I noticed was my steering wheel was off centered so I put back my stock one. I'm sure if my factory rag joint was worn I'd feel a difference. It's sitting on the shelf for future use. I'm still happy I bought it for when I need it .

Have a few more Solids ready.
Due to shipping rates and yard price increases i find it necessary to raise the price to $75 shipped to the states.

Re: GM {Astro} Steering Shaft Upgrade
This is a really nice swap, not only for Camaros, but for S10s as well. Straight forward easy to do, and really helps tighten up the steering. Doesn't matter if your ride is 2 years old, if it has a 'rag' joint this simple mod helps out enough to where you can actually feel the difference.

Re: GM {Astro} Steering Shaft Upgrade
Just an update for those here and that have e-mailed me asking about shafts.
I no longer do these. The shafts had become harder to find as well as the shipping prices going through the roof it just wasn't worth it any more.
Sorry.
If anything changes in the future i will let y'all know.

If things change, I'd be interested in ordering one from you. Ship to zip code 55303.

Re: GM {Astro} Steering Shaft Upgrade
I'm pretty sure there is still a member on here who makes them. I think his name is Robert frank. I got one from him last year. It made a massive difference in my car. It's not quite as pretty as the borgeson shaft but it's as tight feeling and 1/3 the price.
