custom/ professional TBI CAI
I built this CAI and it is very efficient according to my it Temps .. usually run at ambient or 1-3 degrees above ambient with the iat sensor in the carb hat 3" from injectors and air filter under the charcoal canister on drivers side
There is a thread somewhere outlining every piece of the build and it caused zero restriction on a 400 hp engine at 6k rpms
I took it off and ran nothing on top of the throttle body at the track and lost 3 tenths consistently

I paid 100 for carb hat , 30 for aluminum piping , 15 for 4"-3" reducer , 35 for epdm rubber elbow , and 40 for filter ...
That's 220 total I'll let u get it for 150$ plus shipping with an extra filter and extra epdm elbow
Also the aluminum piping is wrapped in heat reflective tape
I can get u more pics in am of close ups and where the filter is .
Before installing this intake on a 60 degree day my I AT Temps were well over 100 if not let closer to 120-130 and that's with the venting of RA2 hood
After install on 60 degree day I had iat Temps of 60-63 degrees
On a 100 degree day it got up to about 107 ... can't beat that with a stick lol
That's 220 total I'll let u get it for 150$ plus shipping with an extra filter and extra epdm elbow
Also the aluminum piping is wrapped in heat reflective tape

Does it make a difference if i'm running tbi instead of a carb? And yeah before i throw money around post a pic or two of where you had it running to because i still have my canister on the drivers side.

Also I'll leave my I AT temp sensor in the carb hat for u .. it's the birdcage style too all u gotta do is lengthen the 2 wires going to the sensor about 8 inches

ooh sweet, i can take mine back now, i literally just bought one the other day, I dont really need the carb since I am running TBI, but I would like the AIT, and the whole old air intake. I like may airfilter, but the gmpp performance intake is just a tad high then my other one so it rubs. could you do 130+ shipping? Ill pm you right now, or just shoot me a text, 5413409876

You have time slips to prove it lost 3 tenths without the cold air intake?
You probably lost time because you didnt have an iat hooked up. I 100% know that hat alone is more restrictive than four barrrels to the sky

Yea actually I do ya ****in moron ... and the carb hat was still on it when I lost 3 tenths just.the piping removed so iat was still hooked up

So which is it, did this cold air intake indeed shave youre 1/4 mile or did it not?

I didn't say the opposite I said there was nothing on the throttle body but the carb hat the tubing was removed so the iat was still hooked up and that was 3 tenths in the 1/8th by the way ... y don't u go blow smoke on ur own thread ... if the car wasn't totaled I wouldn't b selling it at all

Soooooo with the CAI disconnected and the carb hat on the TB I lost 3 tenths ...

It's better and cheaper than anything ur gonna find for a TBI car ... and ur not gonna get colder iat Temps running a filter anywhere in the engine bay ... the filter is completely outside the heat of the engine bay ... air quality is better than quantity to a point ... most ppl run 3" exhaust on these cars and this is 3" intake so unless ur Makin over 400 hp it's not a restriction ... at 6000 rpm shift point I was seeing 98-99 kpa which indicates no restriction
