Put me down for a set. either metal is good for me, whatever the majority of other buyers want.

Okay....we have 1 buyer for a set. For anybody who is interested, the quoted prices are good for 30 days and could fluctuate based on material costs so I would suggest getting in quickly at this price. Just post here if you want a set and specify which material. I figure a week should be plenty of time for the serious buyers to jump on board-after that, I'll need payment once I place the order so the more the cheaper. Allow 2 weeks lead time after order is placed for shipping. This is the fabrication shop's criteria-not mine so please respond asap if you want a set. Thanks!

Re: Finally! I have new quotes for serpentine bracket kits for Moroso vacuum pumps ad
Initially I built this kit for a 434 motor pushing right at 625 HP and running a Titan 750-shot plate system, so I wanted to relieve as much pressure under the rotating assembly as possible since that engine was already 12:1 approx. The guy I built it for said he wanted a serpentine setup and a vaccum pump-make it happen.
Since pretty much all aftermarket serp. kits go for the bling look and don't feature as many braces/stiffeners as GM, I designed the kit for use on a GM bracket-again, this is more of a racing application that can be used on the street-instead of a Goodguys Street Rod looking type kit although the 6061 aluminum is killer lookin!

did you do any dyno pulls while using the smog pump pulley on the vac pump. Im curious how much vacuum i can pull with that pulley. it looks like 10-13 is the sweet spot.

No, we made runs at a local 1/8th mile dragstrip in the Chevelle. Without the nitrous we went 7.18 right off the trailer-made about 5 passes the first night and with various changes like plugs, lower pressure in the slicks, adjusting rear air bags for better launching, etc. we ended the night with a best of 6.79 @ 98 mph on a 250-shot nitrous jetting.
Not bad for a full framed, all steel and full interior car. Since it was our first test and tune, they let us keep running the car despite not having a certified roll cage in it yet....we made the most of our runs tho! Lol

Yes....correct. The factory smog pump had a 12 and 6 clocking-this kit bolts the Moroso pump directly to it. Yes, that and there are I believe 2 other Moroso pumps that will fit. The rear bracket has slotted mounting holes so you can rotate the pump body for optimum inlet/outlet fitting locations.

Re: Finally! I have new quotes for serpentine bracket kits for Moroso vacuum pumps ad
As manufacturing goes even for small quantities, price is always based on number of pieces....and to have the CNC machine setup to cut these out, I need to place an order for at least 10 kits for them to do it at the price I quoted. Otherwise, it gets stupid expensive-and nobody appears interested in aluminum just steel, and if there are only a couple members interested, it may not happen. So, I'll have to try other boards more specific to GM forced inducted performance and see who I can get interested.
I don't need any money until I know I have at least 10 people who are in it for sure. As for pulleys, you will have to do your own homework to see what works best for you-obviously you want a smaller diameter crank pulley and depending on your math, there are a lot of options out there. I've even thought about designing a 1-piece machined spacer to move the stock type pulley forward of all the other pulleys so you can run a Gilmer crank adapter and run an even smaller crank pulley....but, if there's not much interest in the bracket kit there isn't any interest in making a spacer to give more pulley options at the crank. This was kind of a "testing the water" thing but it appears to be a pretty shallow puddle....lol.

This is a damn shame. I just dont think your getting these in front of enough people. Maybe try a different thread title in the power adder section. I woulda thought the forced induction guys would have been all over this.
I was going to just use the stock smog pulley and a put a guage on a valve cover to see where i was starting from. Then use a adjustable regulator at the pump to bring it to where i want. from reading 10-13 is the sweet spot.

Re: Finally! I have new quotes for serpentine bracket kits for Moroso vacuum pumps ad
Max RPM for most vacuum pumps is 3000 so a 3:1 ratio to the crank is as radical as you'd want to go in most cases. Obviously Moroso makes restrictor inserts but its the pulley diameter ratio you really pay attention to. The one is the pic was for mock up-I actually had March make a 9.5" diameter 6-rib pulley and we had an under drive crank pulley on the engine so diameter ratio was about 3.60:1 which was nice on the 434 we ran.

3000 is to low, i had to pull my instructions out. 6000 max. i have both pulleys in the blaster right now. ill have to re-measure them.

Well, it may have been that particular pump....Moroso recommended no more than 3000 RPM for the pump itself. Other pumps may have different ratings.
