AFR 220 Head ID
AFR 220 bare heads. AFR says new they were $2265 and they flow 320 plus and are way to big for my 350. Bought a guys project but the heads are way to big for my vert motor. I need to sale or trade for a smaller aluminum head for a 9.5 to 1 350 engine for my vert. I will list them for $950 OBO or some type of trade for a smaller street head.

Re: AFR 220 Head ID
Please post more information on the heads. Are they the new Eliminator heads? Have they been used? What size is the combustion chamber? Is it center bolt or perimeter bolt valve cover? Is it a pre 87 intake bolt angle? Are the plugs angled L98 style? I have a set of ported Trick Flows in 195s that I may put up for a trade.

Re: AFR 220 Head ID
The AFR rep stated that they are 64 or 62 CC and are pre elimanator. They are used but look very clean with no dents and very little dirt and carbon. They are angle plug and are made for 406-434 CI so he stated. They take an off center intake rocker but a standard exhaust rocker. They take perimeter valve covers and standard old style intake bolt pattern. They flow between 320 and 330 depending on lift and are capable of more with more porting. They cost $2260 when new but that was fully built and they are bare now. They have 220 casted above the ports. The biggest they had was a 227. He thought they were about 7 or 8 years old or so. They take an off center intake rocker because it moved the pushrod casting out of the way to get more flow. It will hold the same valve springs that my Brodix track 1s use. Its made for a big inch SBC not for what I need. I am a brodix guy myself but I know that AFR makes good stuff also. I was looking at the top-end brodix heads and GM 18 and 15 degree heads and they all take special hardware the higher up the chain you go. You have to move the pushrod over to get great flow and these just take the intake rocker which isn't bad. I should go ahead and build a 406 for the vert but I don't need another big motor. I already have two.
