Re: parting out 1988 iroc z28--tpi 5 speed 3.45 car
Probably a stupid question but does the 3.45 at the end of the title mean it has 3.45 gears in the rear end? If so I might be interested in that. If the price is right. I really shouldn't be spending money on that, I have to repair an exhaust leak and some leaking fluids, but...I may want it.

Re: parting out 1988 iroc z28--tpi 5 speed 3.45 car
I know theres probably a better place on the site to ask this type of question, but I'm going to ask here anyway. How difficult is it to replace the rear end? I have the stock 2.73 with drums in a 91 RS 5.0. My father and I aren't mechanics but we know our way around a car. Would it be easier just to bring it somewhere and have it installed or can it be done in the driveway? Thanks for the info.

Re: parting out 1988 iroc z28--tpi 5 speed 3.45 car
I want it, from what I've been reading, it will help my acceleration but will destroy my gas mileage in overdrive and at higher speeds, like on the highway. I hate to say it, but right now I don't think I can because of the other issues. I need to get those cleared up so I have a good running and driving car before I start upgrading. If I can get my few issues cleared up soon and I still have the money I'll message you. Im going to bookmark this page. Thanks for the info and I hope I can get it eventually.

Cool. I need it, someone went clipper crazy on my harness in my '88.
Not sure when the next time is I'm heading down 495. What do you think it would cost to toss it in a box and send it to me ?
If it's too much maybe I can make it down next week.
Either way, hold onto it for me. I need it.

Re: parting out 1988 iroc z28--tpi 5 speed 3.45 car
ok, I got a list of stuffs...
does the MAF have a 5 pin connector? if so, how much for the connector?
brake pedal switches? I'm in need of the brake light switch with the 3 pin connector.
how much for the throttle valve cable?
I may add more to the list if I remember more things I need

How much if its good shape-
Door panels, console lid, t tops headliner, the headliner light case, side bottom ground effects, rear bumper.
Really picky on condition on parts so best bet is to send pics
