not to hijack the thread, but is changing the injector size all you had to do to run this on your 406? I just bought one and would like to run in on my 406, but the stock injectors are going to be too small I think...

Re: SBC carb stuff and edelbrock fuel injection system

i wont give you his name but i was talking to an edelbrock engineer and he told me not to use their fuel injection, to use gm tpi instead, it was specifically enginered to work with the 305/350 engine.
you can buy injectors pumping as much gas as you need, and they are not all purpose, one size fits all, like edelbrock is.
i like edelbrock and am still looking for their vortec heads, but not their injection after i was told gm was better.

Factory tpi wont work on my 406...Just was trying to fin out if someone had used the proflow with larger injectors...the stock proflow injectors are 29lbs. this one for sale has 40lb injectors.

Re: SBC carb stuff and edelbrock fuel injection system

oh sorry, i forgot to add a price for the proflo...im asking 1000 for the whole setup. and as far as the injectotrs go, i bought this off a guy with a 400 and i called edelbrock and they have different base tune chips for various cam durations, so i bought the one for my cam then you just tune from there. i would say get a wideband and tune it but if your putting it on a 350 then their tune is pretty close.
