Holley Terminator X vs Fitech 38350
I am wanting feedback between Holley Terminator X vs Fitech's 38350. I have a 355 long block, 10:1 flat top pistons, Crower cam 000482LM Dur @ .050” Lift: 213°/221° RR: 1.5/1.5 Gross Lift: .505”/.525” LSA: 114,Comp cam ultra 1.6:1 roller rockers, Howards roller lifters , Accel intake and Plenum (being ported by Jim Hall) and TPIS 52mm throttle body.
I realize that the Terminator setup if one buys dual sync distributor, ignition box and coil ends up being almost 3 times the cost of the Fitech but my question is reliability and ease of use. We recently went through some trials and tribulations with Holley on another car with a Sniper 1 that we ended up going with a Sniper 2 system so questioning reliability of the Holley system. I am familiar with the install of the Sniper 2 and we used the PDM module which helped as well as the use of the handheld and software.

Re: Holley Terminator X vs Fitech 38350
I have a 2nd gen Camaro where I had been running a Holley Commander 950 MPFI system for quite some time. Last year I
replaced the ECU and associated harness with a Terminator X. I can't answer a longevity question but I can say that I am
pleased with its performance so far. I have a 383 SBC with cam specs not all that different than yours. I run just a computer
controlled HEI distributor with no ignition box so my system is pretty simple. Some day I may change to a Dual Sync so that
I can use the sequential capabilities of the Terminator X. After just a few days of tweeking the tune my car ran better than it
ever did with the Commander 950 and it gets better mileage as well.

Assuming equal install quality, they should be equally reliable. The FiTech ecm is well made, the harness is meh aftermarket. The Holley system will be easier to use. It has an order of magnitude more installs and tech support available.
FiTech people can't get much past what color of crayon tastes best. (It's Red btw).

this doesn't answer your question to that specific FITech system, but this may provide some insight.
i'm currently switching from the FITech Ultimate LS system to the Terminator X Max. i originally chose FITech due to price point - as you mentioned. the FITech system worked but i found it very difficult to make adjustments and get support. there was also a disconnect between information /settings shown in the handheld vs the laptop software. there is a forum (which isn't associated with FITech) which is somewhat helpful... sometimes. i only ran this system last summer and swapped it out over the winter.
i would recommend just going with the Terminator X system right off the bat. in my effort to initially save money, i've now spent more money than i would've had i just went with Holley. even worse than the extra money was the additional time i wasted taking the entire FITech system out to reinstall the Holley setup. stupid me - i ran everything all nice and neat behind the dash and through the firewall to make everything look professional. it was a major PITA.
also if you get the Terminator system @Komet won't make fun of your intelligence. LOL
