91 Formula high beams stuck on
Guys,
I went to take my 91 Formula out today and noted when I put the headlights on the high beams were engaged. I tried to turn them off but the high beam switch suddenly doesn’t seem to work. Curiously, I just had the car inspected last week and had to flash the high beams for the inspector so I know the switch worked then. Is this failure common? What’s the fix for this?

Yes it's somewhat common
The cure is to adjust or replace the dimmer switch.

I've had issues with the under-dash hush panel interfering with the dimmer switch rod. Locks it up you can't operate the high/low beam switch assembly.
Try this: along the rear most edge of the hush panel loosen the screws that hold it in place. Just need to loosen, not remove. Now see if the dimmer switch works. If so the hush panel has warped a little. In this case remove the panel and give it a slight bend away from the rod, reinstall.
Note that with the panel removed can usually see where the rod is imprinting into the foam 'hush' material of the panel.
RBob.

Have also seen the rod from lever to switch bend.
