Sigh... managed to break both ears off the fuse panel retainer....

Happened a while ago while endlessly fussing with the power antenna and some other nits.

How much of the IP has to come out to repair? I may be doing a minor overhaul for some cleaning, replacing dash speakers, chasing rattles (happens at least once a decade.) Laying on a 64 year old back contorted like a midget video is not my idea of a good time.

Dunno if this has happened to anyone else, but, would appreciate any experience in this area. Thanks!

The fuse panel is connected to the dash harness which is contorted throughout the length of the firewall. You have to pull the entire dash to get at the harness. You can however just lower the knee panel under the steering wheel area and access the fuse panel easier that way.

Fuse panel? This a FB thing? Or are you talking about the two arms you push inward to release/tilt the fuse block? On camaros the fuse block is separate from the two arms. If thats the case with birds, you can separate the fuse block from the retainer piece. Which is held in place by the two 7mm screws towards the front of the fuse block. Got a pic?
