Fan control sensor and temp ranges

Fan control sensor and temp ranges
So I am swapping in a 350 into my 88 and while the engine is out, I am checking all of my wiring. The wire to this sensor in the PASS side head is damaged so I am going to repair it. I'm thinking....since I am deleting the 9th injector, should I just run that fan switch sensor to the hole where the 9th/cold start injector was? I can just buy a single wire temp sender and run it.
Also, concerning the temperature setup in these cars. I was thinking about using a 180 degree t-stat and a fan switch that brings on the second fan like factory using that switch but using one that comes on at 200 and off around 185? Would that make sense? Or on around 195 or even on around 210?

Re: Fan control sensor and temp ranges
I'm using a 180 Stat & I just installed a ' MTE-THOMSON 3737 ' Fan Switch ( Switch On Temperature: 100°C / 212°F) in my 88 TPI and it's running the secondary fan just after the primary. Primary fan starts and quits about a minute before the secondary when idling now. ( not sure if this particular fan switch is off a little bit or if the ECM coolant temp switch is a little off, but ECM should turn on the primary around 220 IIRC)
I you use any switch rated for a lower temp you'll need to also swap to a lower temp stat.
Edit: Use the fan switch port in the passenger side head..... better for that sensor to be screwed into the iron head rather than the aluminum intake.
