1984 TRans AM - fuse boxes
I am familiar with the fuse box under the driver's side dash. Is there 2nd fuse box in the car & where?

The only other place there could be fuses is if the car has had any of the vapor lock TSBs installed that added an in-tank pusher fuel
pump and carb bowl cooling fan. There will be some rubber molded inline glass fuse holders near the red high speed blower fan power
wire in the engine compartment. The TSB wiring harnesses tap into that circuit for power.

The carbed cars didn't have the external ECM fuse. They just have one in the fusebox.
Yes the early cars had the "convenience" center. It has the key buzzer, choke heater relay, OBD1 connector, and a couple of other minor goodies in it.

Not that I'm aware of.
It's not "convenient" to the owner at all... I think that word only applied to the mfr. If memory serves, a few largely inaccessible screws hold it in; if you have the dash out and laying there, it's super easy, but with the whole car put together and you laying up under the dash, it's ANYTHING BUT "convenient".
