Turn signal and gauges issue

Hi all

Car is a 91 trans am. On ignition the right turn signal is lit and the gauges (volts, oil pressure) move slightly but way lower than expected. On switching on the hazards the gauges then move in rhythm to the hazard flasher and only the right side turn indicator flashes. Same with the stalk; right side causes erratic gauge behaviour, nothing at all happens on the left

removed flasher bulbs and checked grounds in engine bay to no joy. Can’t see any obvious butchery

few posts on related issues suggest a bad ground. Going to be tracing the turn signal wiring this weekend (fun) but welcome forum input if aware of possible culprits

thanks!

Yeah guess I’ll be probing the turn signal circuits this weekend. Urgh…

Re: Turn signal and gauges issue

OMG. So turned out the gauge connectors were in the wrong locations - white one was at the bottom instead of at the top. On correcting all is well; well my left turn indicator doesn't work but that seems unrelated

I recall I found a diagram on here of gauge connector positions for a 1983 Trans Am and assumed they were the same...
