Unavailable Electrical Connectors
Is anyone in need of any unavailable (STOCK/ OEM) Electrical Connectors for their Third-Gen?
I would like to know what everyone is looking for... that seems discontinued/ completely unavailable.
I am going to take a Trip to GM HQ to meet with someone from APTIV.
APTIV is the company that purchased the Delphi Connection-Systems division from GM after the 2008/ 2009 Financial-Crisis.
I am going to try and enter into a deal for NOS Connector-Parts that have been discontinued (APTIV uses the term "obsolete").
I have no plans to sell anything on the Forum...
However, I would like to know if any Sponsors here, would be interested in selling these Electrical Connectors.
I know that: John in RI has a Business that sells good used wiring... but i do not know if he is a Sponsor.
So please post here in regard to what Connectors are in demand...
that way I can try to purchase any that are available.
Also please post here if you would like to sell these parts to the Forum Members.
Thanks.

There are some connectors I would like to have, but they probably wouldn't be desirable to other people

Re: Unavailable Electrical Connectors
You want part numbers or descriptions? Some I have or can find numbers, some I can't
Off the top of my head, I need the wiper connectors to make swap harnesses. The later cars use the sealed Metripak 280 or something, but I can find and get those. It's the mid and early cars where I can't find the connectors.
Also the HVAC connector for the power wire. In the later cars they used unsealed Metripak 630 4 way connector for the power, ground and the compressor connection to the engine harness, but in the mid year cars they use another single Metripak 630 (I think) connector for power that I can't find
C207 was not available for a long time, then they showed up on Mouser and I bought 100 of them and split it with my friend, but making sure that stays in production would be useful. I need it for 0411 swaps and for Holley harnesses since some people want to keep certain things working with their swaps.
There was also the connector that can be plugged into the back of the fuse box. It's a Pack-con connector, but I don't know the part number because there is an orientation tab and the "other" one I don't need is the one available, 12004018 is the one I see available, but not the correct tab
The mixed Metripak for the round relays with 4 positions could be useful. I can get the 5 position connectors (12052287), but I don't see the 4.
There is also a cover for the back of the male connectors for the engine and lighting harness, I don't see those available.
Also the 42 position mixed metripak female side of the C100 doesn't seem to be available, part 15492518. I like the size and format of this connector for other projects compared to other commercially available products. They are either too big or don't have enough cavities
Also, being able to get light sockets without pigtail so I don't have to connect two wires to make my own lighting harness. Currently I can only find them pre-terminated with wires.
I can't find the red Micro Pack 100 retainers for the 0411 ECMs. I can get them but it looks like they are made by a different company and are way more money.
Also, you can tell them that the Aptiv site sucks now. I used to look up data sheets and get the related products to figure out terminals for connectors and also mating connector part numbers. A lot of that functionality is gone now.
I also can't find the TPA for part 15336024 on the Aptiv site, and the 2D Tiff Drawing link is broken, sometimes there is more info on the drawing but I can't get it.
I am sure there are more, but that is all I can think of right now. There have been some terminals I couldn't get, but I just got an equivalent that used a different wire size
Does Aptiv own the rights to Packard? I think there were a few Packard connectors I wanted too

Re: Unavailable Electrical Connectors
Thanks, I will add those to my list.
And yes, the Connection Systems like the 56 and 59 Series are also under the Delphi umbrella.
APTIV has publicly expressed that they no long care to continue the majority of the prior Delphi Connection Systems.
It has been over 10 years since the purchase... and have developed a ton of new Connection Systems since.
Some Connectors will remain as they are standardized among many car brands.
There has not been an actual Delphi Catalog since before the purchase.
Data-Sheets are all old and disappearing as you have found.

Re: Unavailable Electrical Connectors
@scooter I am not as familiar with some of the Third-Gen specific Electrical-Connectors as you.
Example: I do not remember what the HVAC power Connector is...
Any part numbers and/ or images will make things easier for me.
I actually have had issues getting the 12052287 Connectors (until very recently) as well as the Grey 4-Terminal version...
Mouser has the 12052287 Connectors again. Do you ever use the Mating Connector (13599647) to make extension or adapter Harnesses?
I sell a ton of those!

When is your meeting? I'll have to pull out factory manuals and see if the part numbers are in there, or at the very least I can take pictures of the component there

Re: Unavailable Electrical Connectors
There is a version of that mating connector for the 4-Terminal Grey Relay Connector as well...
12092394.
There are actually a good amount of mating Connectors that are not commonly known.

Re: Unavailable Electrical Connectors
Might as well give her the numbers for the isolation relay's connector as well as the actuator relay's connector, as the repairs could run into the isolation relay as well
Oh, and, I'll bet she'd be mighty appreciative of any leads you could perhaps give her on the actuator and isolation relays themselves, even if by PM so your connector thread doesn't go off topic with relays

Re: Unavailable Electrical Connectors
I need to find my ACDelco Electrical-Connector Pig-Tail documents.
Packard-Electrical/ Delphi stopped producing the Electrical-Connector parts a long time ago...
However, ACDelco still produces the parts in Mexico so that Pig-Tails can be made.
I will let you know when I find the Documents... I remember seeing the Electrical-Connectors that you need.
Any interest in converting to the "LATER" Head-Lamp Circuits/ System?

Re: Unavailable Electrical Connectors
Lol! Lots of interest, but zero skills. I’m not 100% positive yet what the issue really is with my headlight. I was going to swap the actuator relays (passenger side works fine) for starters, but the wires underneath the connector clip look slightly melted. I went no further until I know that part can be replaced. If not, at least the light will go up with the switch which is better than nothing!
However there are 7 different variations of those 3-Terminal un-sealed Metri-Pack 280-Series Electrical-Connectors.
Would you be able to post a few high-quality Images of the Isolation and Actuator Relay Electrical-Connectors?

Interesting project you got going! I'd love to get a set of factory correct 7mm numbered spark plug wires.

Re: Unavailable Electrical Connectors
My apologies... all current Ignition-Wire parts and parts for older-vehicles, will be coming from ACDelco.
I will not be meeting with anyone at ACDelco, sorry.
I do have an aftermarket source fro Ignition Cables and Parts...
as well as older vehicle wiring systems.
Please check out Road Island Wiring Service.
They offer Ignition Wires and Parts; as well as Electrical Wire, Sleeving, Terminals, and Parts from 1939 to 1980s.
They only take orders over the Phone. The Phone Number is: (800-241-1955).

Re: Unavailable Electrical Connectors
I will be leaving to go to Detroit on Friday morning.
GM is taking care of my return trip.
I booked NETJETS to pick me up via the Helipad at the very top of the Building that my Business is in at the ground level (in Manhattan).
The Helicopter will take me to the NETJETS Air-Hanger in White-Plains, NY. The NETJETS private Jet fits 6 People. I have room for 2 more People.
Post here if any of you can make it to the NETJETS Air-Hanger in White Plains, NY Friday at 9;00 am.
This will be a NETJETS short and direct private flight to Michigan,
Then one more short Helicopter flight to the Helipad at GM.
Now is the time to post any and all Part Numbers, that you guys want.
Photots also help a ton!

Well that meeting did not go as I would have thought...
I expected some sort of inventory information, paper-work, or something.
They discussed everything with me, and handed me keys and an address.
I am going to fly to a Warehouse next week, and see what they gave me...

Re: Unavailable Electrical Connectors
Not yet... I have been inundated with Family matters recently.
I have been given a few hundred Boxes of Parts, that I have been slowly shipping to my home.
I'll go through everything once I have it all here.
