help replacing ignition switch, what's the round thing attached to it?

Car: 1986 IROC-Z/28
Engine: 406 CID SBC
Transmission: 700R4 A4
help replacing ignition switch, what's the round thing attached to it?
86 iroc automatic
So I have my dash out and figured I'd replace some 30+ old electronics while i was in there. 1 of those is the ignition switch. Easy to get to and I ALMOST had it out, but there is some kind of cylinder attached to the part and some kind of cable going into it. How does this cylinder come off? The replacement part doesnt have that attached to it. Should it have?
The 1 i have in the car looks kinda like this, but with that "box" part at the end. https://www.rickscamaros.com/product.../8350/image/0/

well, i may have just answered my own question. looks like the details in the rockauto parts page was correct (auto with tilt) but i got the auto non-tilt part.
