85 Trans Am Tach Reading 2x or more Actual RPM
Started up my freshly rebuilt 350 yesterday and the in dash tachometer was reading ~2500RPM at idle but 850 on the timing light and around 4500 at ~2000RPM on the timing light.
I've read through some threads on here but the only fix i have found is replacing the tach with another good unit or an aftermarket unit. Is there any good way to fix the stock tach or do I need to find a replacement?
