92 camaro wiring issue..ecm fuse keeps blowing

okay so i have a 92 camaro rs was a 3.1 I swapped in a 5.7 vortec now trying to get it wired correctly to get it running, I had my harness custom made by pocket for the swap. as of now everything is in the car and im trying to get my fuel pump to prime but the ecm, fuel, fan inline fuse blows before i can even get it hooked to a battery, i have went and reground my ground wires and everything positive is in the right location. i still get power to the car the horn, headlights, signals dash lights all come on but when key is turned over i get no fuel pump prime or service engine light. yesterday i took all hot wires off my power dist block and added one on at a time and the wires to blow the fuse is the thick orange wire that i believe runs to the fuel relay other is red power wire straight to power block. can someone help me troubleshoot this issue as I have no knowledge on wiring, maybe just a walk through on steps to check these components to find the issue. I was told that fuse shouldn't operate till the key is turned over which i never make it to that point, I do have a ground strap on back of engine to firewall and neg battery cable grounded to engine and also to car and ecm grounds to firewall. I believe those wires are ecm ground they are all black and black/white wires with ring terminals. i can upload any needed pictures to help, anyone with any knowledge please help this is the one issue im having with trying to get this thing going. Thanks

Start unplugging things on that circuit, That wire splits and powers the ecm. Then it goes to the oil pressure switch, then onto the pump relay. I would start at the fuel pump relay or ops.

Okay thanks, I do have ops disconnected but will try the relay and see what happens. Just followed your Facebook page a few weeks ago looking around the site, would like to get ecm tuned by you once this thing gets going

Here is a picture of that circuit, if the eco, ops, and relay are all unplugged you will need to dig into the harness where it y's bye the fan blower housing and look at the splice.
Send me a pm whenever I'll try to help

Re: 92 camaro wiring issue..ecm fuse keeps blowing

Okay guys I wasn't able to look at the car over the weekend so I looked at something's today and got everything on that ecm/fuel/ops circuit unplugged and started plugging one by one in and the only one to cause the fuse to blow is when the ecm is plugged in, oil pressure sensor plugged in fine and fuel relay plugged in fine. Do I have a issue with ecm? Or could it be wiring going to ecm? Or both? I have been looking over wires leading to where it needs to go and all looks fine. Please help me out thanks in advance.

Looks like orange coming off b1 but c16 didn't have a wire there I don't believe I'll check again tomorrow if I'm even checking it right. Does it go c-clear and b-blue?

I don't know what ECM that is some sort of obd 2. I was under the assumption you were using the 1227730 ECM.

You should google search the ECM service number for a schematic or ask pocket what terminals are suppose to have constant battery power.

Re: 92 camaro wiring issue..ecm fuse keeps blowing

okay after googling a schematic for that service number and all i get is v6 cars under that number, i was given this pcm when i bought the engine but i was screwed on alot of things with that buy so this could very well be the wrong pcm, when looking for a pcm under the 0411 which i believe is from a LS car i get a part number of 12200411 instead of the 09380717 service number on my pcm i have now

Okay sounds about right, when searching that pcm it comes up for various models through those years but was told that is a better pcm for tuning and things so that maybe the route I need to take get that and see what happens, that's the pcm we decided to go with on my harness build so I'll try that

Re: 92 camaro wiring issue..ecm fuse keeps blowing

Okay so I got a new pcm 0411 and it stopped the issue of blowing the fuel/ecm fuse, service engine light comes on but no fuel pump prime. i do have what I thought was the hood lame wire but I've seen people talking about the fuel pump prime connector, where does that plug into?
