Ignition switch wiring
Hey guys,
Looking for a resource to find which wires on the plug on the ignition switch go to what. A wiring diagram would be better.
Couldn't really find anything using a search engine.
Also if anyone knows anything about the ignition switch and how it functions I.E. Which wires in connects for a given key position that would be very helpful.
Thanks!
Bill

Until someone with a postable diagram comes on:
When you turn the Ignition Switch to the RUN or START position power is sent thru the pink wire to the coil and associated circuits.
When you turn the Ignition Switch to the START position power is sent thru the yellow wire thru a relay then to the Neutral Switch, then to the Starter Solenoid.
When you turn the Ignition Switch to the ACCESSORY position power is sent thru the brown wire to the Fuse Block which can power some of the less current drawing accessories.
The RUN position also powers the entire ACCESSORY circuit.
Power comes into the Ignition Switch thru the red wire.

When you see fog or “running” lights on in good weather beware. WLow performance driver ahead.
