help 84 l69 engine wire harness

Car: 1984 Trans Am- L69, WS6, J65, W62
Engine: 350 .020 over
Transmission: auto 700R4
Axle/Gears: 4.11 Limited Slip
help 84 l69 engine wire harness
I have a 84 TA L69 and there is no plug that i can find for the wire going to the transmission for the converter lockup.
the diagram that i found has the one wire that is tan with a black stripe
I can't find any cut wires at all, the only wire i can find with that color is on a 2 plug connector that goes to nothing, could that be it (shown in pic) assuming that there is supposed to be another longer wire that goes down to the transmission.
If not then where on the harness does the wire come from
trying to get this resolved before i put the engine in
any help is greatly appreciated

my problem is i cant find where those wires connect to on my harness
anyone have a pic of that location on an 84

They come out of the ECM harness near where the distributor connections are. Looks like you're looking for them on the engine harness? The ECM harness comes through the right fenderwell and across the rear of the engine to the ESC and VAC sensor (which are not connected in your photo).

pigtail you have pictured (IIRC from my 84) plugs into the ECM harness, you will see the other pigtail for it when you bring the ecm harness over to the ESC module (that 7 pin looking thing)

Hmm ok, even more confused now, I looked all around the distributor connections and could not find anything.
I thought that the engine harness and ecm harness were the same thing
I still have the connections for the ecm under my dash on the right side
but in the engine bay there is nothing to plug into the connector that i have shown or to the esc
does anyone have a pic of an 84 harness with these connectors shown?
this is all i have for wiring fir the engine
